Henkel’s Scottsdale Facility Celebrates One Year Without Lost-Time Injuries

On December 18, the Henkel Consumer Goods Inc. facility in Scottsdale completed one year without a lost-time injury or an OSHA recordable injury.  The facility, which has 620 employees, serves as an administrative headquarters and a research and development facility for Henkel’s consumer products, including Dial® soaps and body washes, Purex® laundry detergents, Renuzit® air fresheners and Right Guard® antiperspirants.

The Scottsdale facility also reached another safety milestone in October 2009, when the site achieved 1 million hours worked without a lost-time injury or recordable injury.

"Safety is a key element of our business focus at Henkel,” said Doug Fraser, Vice President of Operations. “We believe that nothing we do is worth getting hurt, and have a strong safety culture and excellent employee involvement that drives our daily safety performance.  The dedication and commitment of each of our employees to taking care of themselves and the people they work with is what delivers these great results.”
