got2b Celebrates 10 Year Anniversary

When a brand as rockin' as got2b reaches a major milestone, a single day of celebration simply won't cut it. In 2011, got2b celebrates its 10th birthday – having transformed from a budding styling collection just a handful of products to a cult beauty editor favorite that flies off of shelves nationwide – with 10 events spanning the calendar year and the country.

Celebrity hairstylist Larry Sims continues his work with the brand, taming the tresses of his A-list clientele using his arsenal of hair-perfecting got2b products and joining the brand at many of its events to share his styling secrets. got2b also continues its social media blitz, led by its massive Facebook following of zealous fans, to help build excitement for the yearlong birthday celebration. In fact, got2b will give away up to $10,000 to one lucky fan! For every new Facebook fan accrued throughout the year, money will be deposited into a cart and given away to one winner on December 15th.

Having already fashioned the hair styles for Z Spoke Zac Posen's Fall/Winter 2011 presentation, shaken things up with the BURLESQUE DVD release and patrolled Florida's spring break beaches, got2b has kicked off a year that is sure to be filled with everything from glamorous high fashion to hair-whippin' good times. got2b parties through 2011 with the following 10 events:

Sundance Film Festival – January
got2b kicked off its 10th anniversary at the 2011 Film Festival with celebrity stylist Larry Sims for the exclusive launch of POWDER'ful. A team of got2b stylists, led by Sims, was on hand at the Wireimage and Getty Images Portrait Studio to help the Sundance set keep hat head at bay.

New York City Fashion Week – February
For the second season, got2b was the official hair styling brand of the Z Spoke Zac Posen fashion collection. Consumers got a behind-the-scenes view of "how to get the look" using the new got2b rockin' it collection, complemented with personal commentary from Zac himself and got2b celebrity hairstylist Larry Sims.

Burlesque DVD Release – March
With the rockin' DVD release of BURLESQUE, consumers got the chance not only to rock out to Cher and Christina Aguilera, but also to rock their style with exciting money-saving coupons on got2b new launches: rockin' it and POWDER'ful. 

Spring Break – March
got2b hit the beaches in Florida, "defending & protecting" hair styles in need with the got2b Hair Patrol and holding on-beach contests to test the power of got2b ultra glued gel's strongest hold.

OK! Magazine's Sexy Singles Event – May
got2b partnered with OK! Magazine to send one lucky winner to Los Angeles for OK!'s annual event. The winner enjoyed a private consultation with got2b celebrity stylist Larry Sims, as well as a gift bag chock-full of products, including got2b kinkier.

Summer Music Festival Tour – May through August
From hip indie concerts to major festivals, got2b encourages music fans to "shower anywhere" with got2b rockin' it 'encore fresh' dry shampoo all summer long. The Music Festival Tour kicked off Memorial Day Weekend at the got2b-sponsored Sasquatch! Music Festival in George, Washington. got2b built the World's Largest Shower Head while festival goers competed for the chance to break other quirky world records as part of the got2b rockin' it ' Shower Anywhere Sweepstakes. Music fans continued to "Shower Anywhere" at Ellie Goulding x NYLON The "Lights" Tour, followed by Lollapalooza in Chicago August 3-5, the tour's grand finale.

Cupcakes for a Cause – September
For the second year in a row, got2b sponsored this benefit for CancerCare for Kids. Throughout the month of September, visitors to got2b's Facebook page were given the opportunity to "bake" their own e-cupcake. For every free e-cupcake created, got2b donated $1.00 (up to $20,000) to the cause, a program that provides free support services to children affected by cancer and their families. Additionally, each participant received a $1.00 off coupon for any got2b fat-tastic styler.

Six Flags Fright Fest – October
With a focus on creating everything from scary styles to the most glam of 'dos to complete any costume, consumers will get a chance to experiment with got2b products during the Halloween season at Fright Fest, one of Six Flags' most highly anticipated events! Fright Fest-goers also had the chance to win one of 10 ticket four-packs throughout the course of the month.

Lucky Shops – November
Celebrity stylist Larry Sims was on hand at Lucky magazine's ultimate shopping event to deliver voluminous touch-ups with got2b POWDER'ful. The more they shopped, the more they got – shoppers received points for each purchase made at Lucky Shops, redeemable for got2b product. Additionally, got2b's Facebook fans were able to access a coupon for $1.50 off POWDER'ful.

American Music Awards – November
With amazing red carpet pre-show footage featuring got2b celebrity stylist Larry Sims and a got2b-sponsored after-party, this great event closed out got2b's 10 for 10! The awards show, which took place on Sunday, November 20th in downtown LA, featured got2b rockin' it products in the artist gift bags and in the gifting lounge, as well as a feature during the red carpet pre-show with Sims showing viewers how to achieve hot celeb hairstyles. Celebrity got2b stylists were also on hand to provide backstage touch-ups after the red carpet and before the after-party. A rockin' grand finale!
