Henkel Introduces Innovative Loctite® Threadlocker Tape

Neat, clean and mess-free, Loctite® QuickTape® 249™ is applied just like any other tape product.  The user simply peels the low-tack tape from the spool and wraps it around the fastener’s threads.  The size of the fastener determines the number of wraps required for secure locking and sealing.  For example, a 3/8-inch bolt requires two to three overlapping wraps, applied to the area where the nut and bolt will meet.  For blind hole applications, Loctite® QuickTape® 249™ is applied to the entire length of the bolt.

Convenient and portable, Loctite® QuickTape® 249™ is a general-purpose threadlocker that is removable with hand tools.  Similar to liquid and stick threadlockers, this tape product fixtures in just 30 minutes with full cure achieved in 24 hours.  Loctite® QuickTape® 249™ offers a wide operating temperature range from -65°F to 300°F.

Loctite® QuickTape® 249™ is designed to complement liquid and stick threadlockers.  This tape can be used on “as received” threaded fasteners; however, a clean surface is always preferred.  Like its liquid and stick counterparts, Loctite® QuickTape® 249™ offers a shelf life of two years.
