Richard Tillson named assistant controller
Henkel Strengthens Corporate Finance Team
Henkel today announced the appointment of Richard Tillson as assistant controller to provide leadership and support to fiscal operations. Tillson will give strategic financial counsel, implement productivity and quality standards, and manage overall accounting processes, including financial reports, accounts payable, accounts receivable and annual budgeting.
“With more than 20 years of experience as a leader in manufacturing accounting and finance, Richard has successfully led a wide range of projects that improved administrative and production efficiency,” said Tarak Raghavan, vice president, General Accounting and Controlling, Henkel. “His ability to see the entire process will enable Henkel to continue to invest in developing innovative solutions to lower manufacturing costs for our customers.”
Prior to joining Henkel, Tillson provided financial analysis and support to Fibermark, a specialty paper manufacturer. Formerly, as vice president of finance and administration at the technology firm Acterna Corporation, he developed and implemented new procedures for employee stock option plans and improved overall fiscal operations during a 12-year tenure. Before Acterna, Tillson led the Standex Precision Engineering and the Roehlen Industries divisions at Standex International Corporation, a multi-national manufacturing company.
A certified public accountant, Tillson earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Boston University and Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the University of Maine.
