April 26, 2005 - Henkel in North America celebrated its NASCAR Busch Series debut last weekend with a win by its sponsored driver Greg Biffle, who drove the Henkel No. 66 Ford Taurus at Phoenix International Raceway on April 22. The race was a wild one - with 14 caution periods for 67 laps and two red-flag stoppages. Biffle survived an early spinout, but managed to dominate and overpower his competitors for the victory.

Last weekend was the first of Henkel's five primary sponsorship positions on Biffle's car throughout the 2005 Busch Series season. Several Henkel brands including Dial® soap, Renuzit® air fresheners, Armour® Star meats, Dep® Sport hair gel, Purex® laundry detergent, Loctite® adhesives, and Duck® brand duct tape will also participate in the sponsorship, which includes an associate sponsorship for 23 races. The participating Henkel brands will rotate primary positioning on Biffle's No. 66 Ford Taurus at races in Darlington, Phoenix, Richmond and Watkins Glen.

"Henkel brands are all about quality and performance and that is exactly what Greg Biffle brings to NASCAR and the Busch Series. It is a perfect friendship," said John Knudson, President of Henkel of America, Inc., a U.S. affiliate of Henkel KGaA, Düsseldorf, Germany. "Henkel products make NASCAR fans' lives better every day, and this is an exciting opportunity to connect with them on a personal level."

"Greg's win this weekend and his overall terrific season in both the Busch and Cup series would not be possible without the support of his sponsors," said Todd Wilkerson, President, Brewco Motorsports. "Henkel products are established and well-known in the racing community and we're happy to be partnered with them to help raise their visibility with the fans."

The Henkel sponsorship with Biffle and Brewco will run through the 2005 season and will be supported by hospitality events and a full show car program.

Henkel has a long relationship with motor sports, and is an official supplier and sponsor to West McLaren Mercedes in Formula One racing.
