Henkel Expands Metals Business with Acheson Product Portfolio

As a result of Henkel's acquisition of the National Starch businesses in April 2008, Henkel has expanded its metal solutions with the addition of the Acheson prodcut lines. Acheson specialty coatings, process lubricants and lubricant application systems are now exclusively available through Henkel.

Henkel is the leading global supplier of adhesives, sealants and surface treatments to the metals industry in the segments of metal forming, packaging, steel and coil. Henkel's leading products include Bonderite ® conversion coatings and pretreatments, Bonderlube ® lubricants, DTI ® cupper lubricants and P3 ® maintenance cleaners, in addition to many others. Some of the leading Acheson products are DAG ® protective coatings, Deltacast ® die casting lubricants, Deltaforge ® forging lubricants and Deltaglaze protective and lubricating coatings. In addition, Acheson's DAG ® equipment solutions also will be integrated into Henkel's equipment offerings. Combined, the synergies of the Henkel and Acheson product portfolios will offer the most comprehensive line of metal solutions available globally.

"The addition of the Acheson products to Henkel's metal solutions will benefit our customers throughout their value chain," said Eric Slamans, vice president, Metal Industries NA, Henkel. "Customers will be able to benefit from process efficiency and cost savings, by having Henkel as their single supplier for products and services."
