Dualite™ Expanded Microspheres
Dualite E, produced under a patented process, combines an inert component with an expanding polymeric microsphere to produce an ultra-low density polymeric shell to which is affixed an inert exterior coating. The process produces a free-flowing, agglomerate-free material.
Dualite™ Unexpanded Microspheres
Dualite U are heat-expandable polymeric microspheres. These microspheres consist of a polymer shell that encapsulates a low boiling point liquid. Upon application of heat, the microspheres expand to form a low density foam in systems that incorporate these microspheres.
Dualite U is supplied as a wet cake that contains about 30% moisture and is recommended for aqueous systems or as a dry powder with less than 3% moisture for non-aqueous applications.
