Application Areas:
Primerless Threadlocking
Loctite® 2760™ (high strength) was developed as a single step solution for threadlocking applications on inactive metals. All other threadlockers in the market require the extra step and VOCs associated with primers to cure in a reasonable time on inactive metals like Zinc Dichromate, Stainless Steel, etc. Loctite® 2760™ will cure on any metal substrate and provide measurable breakloose strength in hours vs. days required for standard anaerobics without primers.
High Temperature Threadlocking & Thread Sealing
For years Loctite® has had high temperature threadlockers and threadsealants that would resist 450°F. With the increasing demands of today’s equipment many applications require even higher temperature ratings. Loctite® 2422 Threadlocker and Loctite® 5770™ Thread Sealant are rated up to 650°F to keep up with the ever increasing demands of the Agricultural and Construction Equipment market.
Gasketing
Loctite® has been providing silicone and anaerobic gasketing solutions to the Agricultural and Construction Equipment market for decades. Loctite® 5127™ has been specifically developed as a high elongation anaerobic sealant to withstand the extreme duties of today’s assemblies. Loctite® 5810A™ is a polyacrylate based elastomeric material that is non-oxime, paintable, low permeability, non-oil foaming gasketing alternative.
Structural Bonding
Loctite® Speedbonder adhesives are in use today bonding metals, plastics, and composites throughout various industries. Products like Loctite® H8600™ which provides long term bond strength to steel are helping manufacturers save money and create more aesthetically pleasing assemblies by reducing welding.
Seam Sealing
Loctite® offers seam sealing products for every stage in your manufacturing process. Loctite® E-04SS™ perfect for early stage application as it survives most metal pretreatment and paint bake processes. Loctite® Flextec Technology is a great late stage seam sealant. This one component elastomeric adhesive/sealant is isocyanate/silicone/solvent free, paintable, non-corrosive, UV resistant and provides primerless adhesion to many substrates.
Window Glazing
Loctite® has a full line of window glazing materials from traditional Polyurethanes to primerless adhesives. Terostat® 8599™ HMLC is a warm applied product that when used in conjunction with Terostat® 8517H™ Primer achieves FMVSS certified driveaway times of 15 minutes. Terostat® 9000 PL™ HMLC is a cold applied primerless solution which eliminates the need for heated cartridges and the process steps and VOCs associated with primers.
