Henkel Supplier Diversity Program

Henkel products have been in the worldwide marketplace for more than 130 years. Henkel continues to develop new products and strives for continuous improvement in the products and services that we purchase. As a result, we have an ongoing need for new and varied suppliers.

We appreciate your interest in doing business with Henkel and are interested in learning more about your organization and its capabilities. This brochure is intended to provide you with access to information about how to do business with Procurement at Henkel.

Diversity Is Important At Henkel
Henkel’s purchasing professionals are instrumental in meeting both the company’s purchasing objectives and at the same time, supporting our efforts to utilize diverse suppliers for the products and services that we purchase. Henkel is active in the communities in which we market our products. We encourage you to be a part of an important commitment to support development of our supplier base. It makes good business sense and benefits both business and the communities we serve.

What Henkel Requires From Potential Suppliers

  • QUALITY At Henkel, we set high standards of performance for ourselves and the products and services we produce. We have the same expectation of our suppliers in the areas of quality, reliability and service. We appreciate you informing us of any examples of excellence in your business, such as awards, certifications or notable recognition that demonstrates these traits.
  • CUSTOMER FOCUS We want suppliers who will extend excellent customer services.
  • COST SAVINGS We value suppliers who continually look for ways to help us lower our costs through savings in all areas.
  • INNOVATION We seek suppliers who are willing to work toward continuous improvement and more efficient ways to deliver products and services.
  • TECHNOLOGY We look favorably on suppliers who take advantage of and use technology to maintain a competitive edge.

What You Can Expect From Henkel Procurement

  • ACCESSIBILITY We will make every attempt to get you to the appropriate Procurement professional for your product or service.
  • FAIR TREATMENT Our processes are set up to ensure equal and fair treatment to you and your company so that qualified suppliers are provided the opportunities to fully participate in the purchasing process.

Henkel’s Supplier Diversity Program
Henkel purchases a variety of products and services. For every product or service we procure, the overall goal is the same–to obtain the highest quality products and services, at the best value for Henkel.

The Supplier Diversity Program has been established to provide the maximum opportunity for Women & Minority Owned Business Enterprises (WMBE) who are interested in doing business with Henkel.

We recognize that it might be difficult for a new supplier who is interested in doing business with us to know where and how to approach our Company. Henkel’s Supplier Diversity Team is committed to a formal Supplier Diversity Program and is dedicated to provide assistance to both the buyer and the seller.

The basic components of Henkel’s Supplier Diversity Program are:

  • OPENNESS – actively seeking diverse suppliers through minority and business development organizations and participation in various trade show activities
  • CERTIFICATION – verification of status through screening processes
  • QUALIFICATION – review and input of selected business criteria and referral to appropriate Procurement Professional for consideration
  • UTILIZATION – activities in the purchasing processes, such as routine purchases, requests for proposals and contracts and other forms of purchase
