Discover a world of excellence
Internships are of great importance to Henkel. They are important for you as a student to gain practical real-world experience and for us as a business to develop talent. As an intern you are responsible for completing challenging tasks and interesting projects. During your internship a supervisor or mentor supports you. Typically, the supervisor is involved from the very beginning in the interviewing process. Once you are hired, you and your supervisor will agree on individual goals. Then, throughout the duration of your internship, he/she will support you and regularly give you feedback. At the end of your internship, you will be given an evaluation.
An internship makes it possible for you to find out whether you would like to work with us in the future. It also makes it possible for us to find high potential future employees. Within the framework of the “Career Track” program (our intern alumni program), we stay in touch with our interns until the end of their studies.
The Henkel Career Track
If you provide Henkel with a strong commitment and excellent performance during your internship, you will have the chance to be nominated for the Career Track program by your supervisor at the end of your internship. We encourage the cultivation of close and intensive relationships with our “trackies” until the end of their studies. It goes without saying that we expect our “trackies” in turn to demonstrate a serious interest in Henkel as a future employer.
How can I be admitted to the Career Track?
First of all, it is essential to be nominated for the Career Track by your supervisor. In addition, you should be a college student for at least another six months. Since we want to find out exactly where you fit in, the decision will be based on a selection process assessing your competences and strengths. Afterwards you will receive an elaborate evaluation and our final decision.
What benefits do we have in store for our “trackies“?
We offer regular seminars, workshops, and sustained and in-depth training to our “trackies” for both personal and professional development. There is a newsletter that keeps “trackies” updated about trends and topics in the Henkel world. In addition, we support our “trackies” during their internships abroad as well as providing support for research projects. In many cases, the “trackies” accomplish a seamless transition into employment with Henkel. Because of their previous exposure they profit from the large network of Henkel employees who can offer access to various fields of work and contact persons.
