Cored Wire

Multicore® cored wire has 2, 3 or 5 cores of flux drawn into soldering wire. Various alloys available from Sn63 to SAC305.

Flux

Liquid fluxes are used in the wave soldering process for through hole surface mount assembly (SMT). Wave solder fluxes are sprayed or foamed onto circuit boards to promote soldering in wave solder machines.

Solder pastes are used in both surface mount assembly (SMT) and package level assembly to create a connection between a SMT component and the printed circuit board (PCB). Solder paste is made up of flux and solder powder using various alloys.

Solder Wire

Solid wire is typically used in point-to-point soldering of connectors or selective soldering systems. Solid wire is made up of different alloys Sn63, SAC305 and various other alloys. Solder wire comes in different diameters and is used to assemble printed circuit boards (PCB) in surface mount technology (SMT) assemblies.
