Henkel Corporation has announced recent improvements to Loctite® 4204™ Prism® Instant adhesive, a surface insensitive cyanoacrylate adhesive that is toughened with elastomers to deliver enhanced flexibility and improved heat and humidity resistance. Thermally resistant Loctite® 4204™ Prism® provides excellent hot strength and heat aging properties up to 250°F.

The reformulation of Loctite® 4204™ Prism® has resulted in faster, more consistent cure times throughout its shelf-life, and the ability to bond a wider variety of surfaces.  The high-viscosity adhesive bonds well to plastics, rubbers and metals.  Loctite® 4204™ Prism® is available in a 20 gram bottle recently redesigned to provide better flow control, greater accuracy and reduced operator fatigue.  For larger volume applications, the product is also available in 1 lb bottles. Loctite® 4204™ Prism® can be used in a range of industrial bonding applications including the assembly of loudspeakers, automotive components, electrical equipment, and oil filters.

Loctite® Instant Adhesives deliver fast, strong solutions for high speed assembly, challenging applications, and demanding end use environments.  The adhesives offer excellent results on a variety of substrates including plastics, elastomers and metals.  General purpose, light curing, high temperature-resistant, toughened, low odor/low bloom, and flexible formulations are also available.
